Hi, my name is Nilanthi.

I am a proud mother to my fearlessly independent, amazing young adult son who birthed in the safety and comfort of our home into a pool of water that had been emptied and filled many times over three long days of labour! The road wasn’t always smooth! Those long sleepless attachment parenting fixated postpartum months and teenage years !! It was worth it even if grey hairs didn’t wait until i was 50 !

I am well known for my adoration of nature, cats, and…. actually most animals.  They are my sanctuary reflecting the essence of simply being in a fast world.

I’m passionate about mothers, babies and families growing in harmony. I help mothers hold on to themselves whilst holding on to their babies. Helping you find your calm and resurrect your sanity. The good thing about getting older is the wisdom gathered that i am now ready to share through mentoring and teaching those who are on a path of self discovery .

I am an instinctive nurturer, empath and intuitive; not afraid to have a good laugh with a hint of cheekiness.

If you come to my home there’s usually a pot of hearty curry or spicy chai brewing to a playlist with Sacred Earth and a few too many lit candles and salt lamps! Ohh..and did I say LOTS of cushions and throws from around the world where women of rich cultures have woven in their magic and now further infused by wafting smells of natural resins from a sacred palate gathered during my travels.

Welcome to my world..

My story

Born in Sri Lanka, my family and I moved to Canada when I was four. We then moved to Australia (via a few years in Papua New Guinea ) when I was 16. As a migrant I understand the importance of finding connection and sense of belonging where ever you are. As a Holistic Counsellor and Mentor i now use this insight and spiritual wisdom to serve others who feel misplaced ,misunderstood or disempowered .

I’ve always believed that my life experiences have served as a catalyst carving out my desire to understand life’s meaning and purpose. Once healed and equipped with tools to deal with trauma’s and challenges from childhood , this experience has served as a grounding force with resilience providing for good compost to fertilise my garden of life .

Intuitively and through teachings I absorbed and drew on deep traditional sacred practices from ancient cultures that would spiritually support my journey of motherhood, women’s transitions, and spirituality.

I bring a deeper mystical interconnectedness through story threads gathered from different lineages as Mothers, Women, Birth Keepers and Healers that weave a sacred tapestry upon which my offerings rest. I am eternally grateful for all the opputunities i have had.

Whilst my journey was not always smooth, it was often adventurous and always rooted in deep spiritual quests, learnings and growth. India was frequently visited from a young age to be with my spiritual teachers and their guidance.

I travelled extensively whilst living for longer periods in several countries such as Venezuela, Norway and Bali which contributed to the rich tapestry of understanding and respecting different traditions, cultures, spiritual paths and healing modalities.

My hearts calling, following in the handprints of my Grandmother’s wisdom and innate intuitive abilities, is to lovingly serve, nourish, guide and support healing the Mother as well as others that I meet on my path.

We are not here for ever…

Live each day as if were your last

Take care of your needs , your body as a temple, your mind with awareness , your spirit with devotion and love

Serve those you love and are in need and surrender the fruits of your actions

Life is a mystery , trust there is a bigger picture and purpose

Trust, find faith, surrender

Let grace and freedom enter your life

My gift is in supporting Mothers to not feel alone, isolated, afraid, ashamed, angry, or overwhelmed.

To know they are good enough and are not meant to do it alone when there was no instruction manual.

That they are meant to be helped.

It does take a village to raise a child.

I have been there myself, traversing many dark days. I was so sleep deprived, fatigued and anxious, that I felt unable to reach out to a friend let alone a counsellor.

Often I wished for a boat of compassion and care to scoop me up and carry me to the shores of safety; where listening ears with nourishing hands of warmth and kindness would welcome me in.

Let me be that boat for you, so that you feel supported to heal on the physical, emotional and mental levels; allowing you to become a healthier Mother and a more connected human.

One mother, one family, one community at a time towards a healthier world.
